Displaying distributed application state via SDK in OpsMgr

Displaying the current health state of a distributed application with the SDK might come in handy if you want to show that data somewhere except the Ops Console (e.g. WebPart, intranet portal/web site, or just in an admin script).

The code to do that is very simple. Here is a simple command line tool that enumerates all objects that inherit from ServiceDesigner.GenericService (those are the ones created from a blank template in Ops Console):

MonitoringClassCriteria baseclassCriteria = new MonitoringClassCriteria(“Name = ‘Microsoft.SystemCenter.ServiceDesigner.GenericService'”);

The tool (code +bin) can be found here:

Hope you find this useful.
